Fence Painting across South Florida

Wood fencing in this climate greys, cups and grows mildew within a couple of seasons of being left bare. We clean and brighten the wood, let it dry to the right moisture content, then apply a penetrating stain or a solid-colour acrylic depending on the look you want and the state of the boards.

Metal and aluminium fencing needs rust addressed at the source: wire-wheel the corrosion, prime with a rust-inhibitive primer and finish with a DTM enamel. PVC can be painted too, with the right bonding primer — most contractors will tell you it cannot be done because they have not done it.
